Subject: Server Controller - how to send it a command from OS
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: -Reproducibility-

The Domino administrator help has a topic named "Starting and stopping the Server Controller", but it only describes STARTING.

In windows, I would like to know how to issue a service stop command to the Server controller from a batch script. When my scripts stop the domino service directly, I think it is ignoring the server controller, and domino does not shut down gracefully. I get the same result whether using the SC.EXE "stop" command or the Powershell Stop-Service cmdlet.

I think I am getting in trouble because I'm bypassing middle management here.
